About Sarah Rice - Maldonado

My love for interior design began long before it became my profession. As a child, I spent hours flipping through home magazines and tagging along on décor shopping trips with my mom. I was always drawn to spaces, textures, and the way a home could tell a story. Design was always my passion, though for years I viewed it as something separate from a career.
 

Like many creatives, my path wasn’t linear. I explored different professional avenues, carrying design with me as a constant source of inspiration. It wasn’t until I became a mother that everything clicked. I realized it was time to pursue the dream I had held onto for so long. I knew I wanted to build something meaningful, both for myself and as an example for my son. I wanted to show him that passion, when paired with dedication and hard work, can become a profession.
 

Building Sarah Rice Design has been a journey of long nights, challenges, and countless lessons, balanced by moments of growth, fulfillment, and joy. Today, that same passion fuels every project, creating timeless, thoughtfully layered homes that reflect the people who live in them and the lives they lead.
